And no, dear readers. It's not Trump who's doing it.

EXCLUSIVE – New Docs Reveal the Brennan-Clapper-Led DHS Committee Proposed Americans Report Neighbors to the Feds

Wow. Neighbors ratting each other out. How Stasi-like of them. So what was this about?

First, let's back up. America First Legal sued DHS for failing to release documents:
https://media.aflegal.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/...

On September 19, 2023, the Department of Homeland Security (Department)
announced the establishment of the Homeland Intelligence Experts Group (Experts
Group). Plaintiffs America First Legal Foundation and Richard Grenell subsequently
sued, alleging that the Department violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act
(FACA) when it established the Experts Group. The Department maintains its
position that the establishment and operation of the Experts Group did not violate
the FACA. In the interest of fully and finally resolving this matter, however, the
parties have agreed to the following:
The Experts Group shall be wound down within thirty (30) days of the entry of
the Order, it will not hold any future meetings, and the Department will not
reconstitute the Experts Group inconsistent with the FACA or the Homeland Security
Act of 2002. The Department will also provide the Experts Group meeting agendas
and meeting minutes with participant identifying information redacted within fifteen
(15) days of the entry of the Order.

For those who will claim this is made up, here is the docket:
https://dockets.justia.com/docket/district-of-colu...

So what was this about?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, following its victory that resulted in the disbanding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “Homeland Intelligence Experts Group,” America First Legal (AFL) is releasing the first tranche of the group’s internal meeting notes, exclusively obtained from litigation. This is the first installment of #DeepStateDiaries, a multi-part series of releases including newly obtained documents.

Yes, Virginia. This is what the unelected bureaucrats that the democrats are so desperate to protect are up to:

The Group noted that the “See Something, Say Something” campaign after 9/11 fell short because “Americans have an ambivalent feeling of telling on each other.” The problem, as one attendee phrased it is, “How do we get into local communities in a non-threatening way? How do people safely report a concern about their neighbors?”

This "Homeland Intelligence Experts Group" had both James Clapper and John Brennan in it, which tells you all about what its goals are and who it would target.

But who were they going to target?
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-dhs-docs-su...

https://aflegal.org/exclusive-new-docs-from-disban...

Today’s installment exposes how the Biden Administration classifies someone as a person likely to commit “domestic violent extremist” attacks, particularly those who support President Trump, are “in the military,” or are “religious.”

Under the Brennan-Clapper committee’s approach to national security, when all else fails, DHS should use being “in the military” or “religious” to profile people and tag them as having “indicators of extremists and terrorism” as a pretext to allow DHS to spy on them. According to the Group, “we should be more worried about these.”

So:
-Ask neighbors and teachers to spy on and report people engaging in "extremism" or "who need help"
-Define your political opponents as Enemies of The State
-Classify over half the country as potential domestic terrorists.

Yup. Fascism. It's what's on the menu, and that's why this election is massively important.

From WIKI. There are lots of different lists, but I'd forgotten this one, and it is more understandable to me today.

Laurence W. Britt

In the Spring 2003 issue of the secular humanist magazine Free Inquiry, Laurence W. Britt, who is described as "a retired international businessperson, writer, and commentator" published "Fascism Anyone?", which included a list of 14 defining characteristics of fascism. The list has since been widely circulated in both modified and unmodified forms.[46] In a newspaper interview in 2004, Britt expanded and clarified the meaning of some of the points in his list, and discussed how they applied to the United States at that time.[47]

The headers for Britt's original list, without his sometimes extensive explanations, are:[48]

1 "Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism" MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!
2 "Disdain for the importance of human rights" Trump. Especially for minorities.
3 "Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause" Deep State, Ruling elite, Jump in everyone.
4 "The supremacy of the military/avid militarism" We are pro military, but we aren't there yet.
5 "Rampant sexism" Trump.
6 "A controlled mass media" Fox News, ONAN, etc., but we aren't there yet.
7 "Obsession with national security" Border! Border! Border!
8 "Religion and ruling elite tied together" Trump is King Cyrus! The CHOSEN ONE!
9 "Power of corporations protected" Yep.
10 "Power of labor suppressed or eliminated" They want to.
11 "Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts" In Spades.
12 "Obsession with crime and punishment" Perception that it is getting worse, when it has gotten better,
13 "Rampant cronyism and corruption" Trump in spades. But I don't think we're there.
14 "Fraudulent elections" OMG YES! Jan 6, etc., etc., etc.

Jump in everyone. :)

Read your own links Dope. The documents didn't say that they were targeting Trump supporters. You source made that part up knowing you couldn't figure it out and would love to play the victim.

It is amazing how many times you get taken advantage of by your own news sources. Why do you let them always play you for a fool?

Hilarious.
Not one word about neighbors spying on neighbors. Not one word about labeling political opponents as terrorists.

What should I expect? You like those things.

It should be noted that Dope thinks it is a bad thing that violent extremists get stopped before they kill or blow something up.

In the tilt towards fascism many MAGAs are just totally clueless, low information, ignoramuses. Others actively welcome the trend. They want a 'strong man' leader, guru and savior. For me, 'strong man' and Trump are words that just don't go together. He's a coward. But given the chance he will become a tyrant.

Why do you let them always play you for a fool?

I guess because it just feels good to play the angry victim. Confirmation bias.
