I laughed when he got to the part about errors of omission. 6 years after this talk, Google talked with Buffett about their company as they had just finished their IPO. Despite Berkshire’s engine of growth, Geico, making heavy use of Google advertising, he said “no thanks”.
This talk is a good reminder for 2025 that there’s value to being an ethical person in business, and that we should prioritize investing in companies with ethical leaders.
