I'm browsing the more obscure pages of shrewdm because the page I saved with Firefox - My Yahoo- was eliminated yesterday by yahoo. In it's place Yahoo has a page of mixed interest miscellaneous stories and 'sponsored' websites in no particular order . Total waste o' time.

I'm looking for ideas for a home page that works on Firefox that is user designable.

I liked the old 'my yahoo' that allowed the user to format the page with a choice of sources. I had 3 boxes across, 3 boxes down. The boxes were NPR, NYT, EMail, Weather, finance. Easy to look at and see all the top stories of the day in each box; stuff that interests me without clicking on a bunch of bookmarks or favorites.

Not exactly what you are looking for but this might be an acceptable workaround.

I have a set of web sites that I view every morning. Initially I opened up each site in it's own tab, then arrange the tabs in my preferred order (drag & drop).

Then I selected all of the tabs using the Ctrl or Shift keys. Then right-click one of the selected tabs & choose "Bookmark Tabs".

I give the group a title, then each morning go to that group and click "Open All in Tabs" and all of my desired sites open.

I have a couple of groups set up. For instance, there are several message boards that I moderate, so I have those bookmarked as a group as well. Quite handy since I visit them multiple times a day.
