Not every body. I definitely softened my view after reading Albaby's observation the other day when he said...

Of course not everybody. I was referring to right-wing dittoheads and MAGAites in general. There will always be some amongst them (or any identifiable group) that will be exceptions.

That really struck home with me, rationally explaining the reason behind Jews skewing Dem when they vote, something that previously mystified me.

Out of curiosity, why did it mystify you? While bigots come in all political stripes, it is the Reps whom are favored by the KKK and other white supremacists. The tiki-torch marchers chanting about replacement theory were not progressives. Those are the folks that emphasize racial purity, often superimposing xian biases in the process.

Today's Dem party isn't the same party as George Wallace and Robert Byrd. The Dems (especially LBJ) pushed through the CRA, and the Dems lost the South. In that respect, it isn't really about party affiliation. It's about where you live and the regional history. The South has a history of white supremacism and racism. They fell-out with the Dem Party mostly because of the CRA. The Reps welcomed them into their ranks, and started winning elections (e.g. Nixon, who first used that strategy). George Wallace would have nothing to do with the Dem Party today, if he were alive.

Perhaps Jews would have voted Rep before 1964. I don't know (maybe albaby does?). But today, if you want religious and ethnic tolerance, you vote Dem.**

**Again, that is an identifiable group, so there are always exceptions. Perhaps the Palestinian-American rep in the House is one, but she's vastly in the minority about that.
