Any doctors here who can comment on Trump's ear bandage? There really wasn't that much blood, and I assume it was quickly and competently stitched up. Is Trump just milking the sympathy vote for all it's worth, or is this a legitimate way to care for this minor injury, now a full 5 days post event?

Not a doctor. However, I would not expect a bullet to simply tear tissue/cartilage, leaving a wound that can be stitched together. When the bandage comes off, I would expect a missing chunk (of unknown size; could be just a few millimeters, or could be the size of a dime).
Bullets routinely -for example- take clothing into the wound they create on the victim. So not only do doctors have to remove the bullet, they have to remove bits of fabric transferred by the bullet. In this case, I would think part of the ear was "transferred" by the bullet to wherever the bullet landed.

Perhaps. Or perhaps it was just a grazing nick of the skin covering the cartilage. Which makes it a shame no doctor's report has yet been released, and the press is giving Trump a free pass on this fact. Such opacity would NOT be tolerated had this happened to Biden.
