For decades, Progressives have lambasted Americans health system vis a vis Big HMOs and bigger profits.
Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, Dick Cheney and George W Bush are AGAINST Medicare for all.
Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders are FOR Medicare for all.
Why is Harris and Trump and Bush Right, and why are Warren and Sanders wrong?
Also, Kamala Harris is NOT touting a "public option" for ObamaCare but PResident Obama tirelessly tried to put in a public option.
Again, Why is Harris, Trump, Bush and company RIGHT while President Obama is wrong?

We had some looooong discussions about Medicare for All back on TMF. IMHO, they aren't "wrong". But albaby convinced me that most people underestimate the cost. In part because of compensation that would have to be imposed on medical providers (as it is with Medicare and Medicaid). Providers would have to agree to fees below what most insurance pays them now. There would be a lot of push-back, and likely compensation rates would have to go up. Also increased utilization by the public would cost a lot.
I'm still OK with it. I'd rather pay my insurance premium to the government in the form of taxes than to a for-profit insurance company that pays a lot of useless middle-managers and executives, and still has to report to stockholders. A lot less overhead with Medicare.
If Warren were the candidate against the convict, I'd enthusiastically vote for her. Actually, against any Rep front-runner these days (DeSantis, Hayley, etc), I'd still choose her. Her positions on healthcare and financial institutions are right on the money.
