that retroactively lowers tariffs on beef, tomatoes, coffee and bananas, among other agricultural imports, backdated to Thursday.

Thing is, there *are* domestic producers of beef and tomatoes. The beef producers were already in an uproar over "his" proposal to bring in a lot of beef from Argentina, to drive prices down.

Do the Swiss export anything to the US that is not a "luxury" good? I bought a Swiss made Omega watch, in the 70s, but, when the price of an overhaul was several multiples of the price of a new, equally accurate, quartz movement, Timex, the Omega went on eBay.
