As best I can tell from the article, the people arrested were working at the Hyundai/LG battery plant, which is under construction, not the EV assembly plant.

"Law enforcement agents raided a Hyundai factory in Bryan County, Georgia, on Thursday, arresting nearly 500 workers in the largest worksite raid since President Trump retook the White House.
The majority of those arrested are South Korean nationals."

A week ago, Trump hosted The President of South Korea at the White House, who pledged to invest $150 billion in the US.
Gov. Kemp promoted the $7.6 billion Hyundai EV factory as the largest economic development project in state history!

It's too bad.

I'd venture to say that a majority of this group were decent and not causing a problem.'

Their cohort is NOT at the top of the list of crime, prison, or social welfare need.

Their offspring probably raise the test score average in schools.


ICe and MAGA - can't even discriminate in the right and sensible way.

IIRC Taiwan came over to start a chip factory, and went back after they couldn't import a bunch of Taiwanese to work there. So some of these stateside plants may be deceptive. We don't have enough skilled workers? Is that it? Or are we just harder to handle?
