Why ruin a good story with data?
I pasted the query "I want to wash my car. The car wash is only 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?" into ChatGPT and into Google Search where its AI weighed in with an answer.
Both gave very short answers, more or less: "Drive. You'll need the car with you to wash it."
So cool fun article no doubt. How much does it matter that it seems to be built on a straw man? It is true now. Only a few months ago, when the meme was first publicized, the answer was different.
The overlords of AI, realizing the embarrassment of such a simple question being answered so stupidly, went in and made specific corrections so this would not happen again.
All we have to do is wait for every stupid answer to be corrected manually by coders, and then AI will be really really great.
