“I don’t think we can understand what [Buffett] knows as an insider,” said Karen Kitching, a professor at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business.

Gates Foundation staffers are well-paid, receive generous benefits and travel frequently to conferences and events, noted Jesse Lecy, a professor in data science and nonprofit studies at Arizona State University.

“These practices might be interpreted by some as bloat, but it could also be interpreted as investments in a highly competent and professional staff,” he wrote in an email to Fortune."

Never overlook the obvious. Perhaps it's simply because Mr Gates is sometimes a bit of a dick, especially in his business dealings?
It's not polite to say, but it's not exactly a secret. I've met the guy, though only super briefly. Does anyone remember Microsoft in the 1990s when he called all the shots? The corporate morals of a digger wasp. And, like any digger wasp, a well understood ecological niche that is just a normal part of nature. Even if some of the perfectly rational decisions are not suited to discussion in polite company.

Even after the recent disclosures you continue to deny the obvious, that Bill Gates is in Buffett's doghouse and he's pissed at Melinda too, which I didn't know. Breaking news, Buffett isn't going to come out and attack anyone, that isn't his way. I wish I could find a female under 40 as loyal as you, I'd propose in a heartbeat. Have a great, healthy, loyal day, old bud.
