On This Week with George Stephanopoulos this morning viewers watched the soul of republican governor John Sununu leave his body.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Just to sum up. You support Trump for president even if he's convicted in the classified documents case. You support him for president even though you believe he contributed to an insurrection. You support him for president even though you believe he's lying about the last election. You support him for president even if he's convicted in the Manhattan case. I just want to say, the answer to that is yes, correct?
SUNUNU: Yeah. Me and 51 percent of America.
What an absolute coward. But, no, governor. Perhaps 51% of republicans are that lost in the cult but not 51% of Americans.
To put a strawberry on that Crazy Sundae, over on CBS's Face the Nation a new poll revealed that republicans trust Donald Trump (79%) more than the U.S. military/the Pentagon (60%), conservative media sources (56%), war zone journalists (33%), and the state department (27%) for information about the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Not to be out-crazied, MTG -- AKA Moscow Marge -- said that if House Speaker Johnson brings Ukraine aid to the floor -- like Israel, Ukraine is also continually under threat and attack by Iran -- she will bring forward a motion to vacate his speakership.
In short, today's republicans -- like all of those here -- are perfectly fine with Trump removing, holding, and hiding NO/FORN intelligence documents, leaving them out in the open at Mar-a-Lago, and conspiring to obstruct an investigation to get them back.
Today's republicans believe Trump knows is better informed on the Russian invasion of Ukraine than anyone else.
Today's republicans support Putin over democracy in Europe.
Finally, new data shows homicides falling all across America but republicans -- who cannot separate fact from fiction -- believe the opposite.
