I guess that's not surprising considering it is about US Policy. Really can't read this anymore. Not because of the policies themselves, which are bad enough but need to be understood, but the incessant infighting is intolerable. FWIW, I skip a lot. But there is some useful stuff here. With the Felon in power, it can't help but be a depressing board. One illegal thing after another, and no one is willing to stop (i.e. impeach) all the illegal things going on.
I do prefer Atheist Shrewds, but that board isn't very active yet. And then the science board, too. Travel seems to be very sparse, but there is the occasional posting there. All are preferable to politics.

For an experiment, I took everyone I blocked off block. Sure enough, within a few days, each of these people wrote something so obviously incorrect, silly and/or dishonest that they went right back into the penalty box. I have no idea why people argue with people so dense and self-defeating.
I guess this board allows people to air our their frustrations, but I don't see anyone converting the dullards. (Some smart posters are here but I know them from more productive boards.)
Imagine calling yourself a non-participant or an observer and then posting endless nonsense.

It’s not the conservative side here who curse, make derogatory remarks to the poster they
are replying to trying to have a civil conversation.
Yet these fly-byes seem to insinuate the conservatives posting here are the trouble makers.
What’s that saying again? ‘Birds of a feather stick together’.
That’s okay though, those on the Right side are slowly inching their way getting their
MAGA message out. That is why President Trump is our President.

It appears I didn't skip forward "1 decade" to the most recent post like I'd intended. Hope the belated advice helps someone else, I can't think of anything less productive than discussing US Policy in the current circumstances. Do something tangible. Arguing online is a waste of your most precious asset, the time you have left in this world. As MLK said in his letter from a Birmingham jail:
"More and more I feel that the people of ill will have used time much more effectively than have the people of good will. We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people. Human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability; it comes through the tireless efforts of men willing to be co workers with God, and without this hard work, time itself becomes an ally of the forces of social stagnation. Make better use of your time that people of ill will. Don't let them bog you down arguing on the internet.
