That will be the first step toward the elimination of any veteran's benefits.

You would think veteran's benefits would be a sacred cows, but they aren't. Half of the time or more the military is used to make a stable place for American companies to do business or stabilize a supply chain. So you'd think they'd be for it. Go figure.
