Trump Signals an Aggressive Opening, Threatening ‘Jail’ for His Political Foes
In his first broadcast network interview since winning re-election, President-elect Trump vowed to pardon Capitol attackers and to end birthright citizenship.
President-elect Donald J. Trump outlined an aggressive plan for opening his second term in an interview that aired on Sunday, vowing to move immediately to crack down on immigration and pardon his most violent supporters while threatening to lock up political foes like Liz Cheney.
Without giving a time frame, Mr. Trump also indicated that he would fire the F.B.I. director, Christopher A. Wray, out of personal pique because “he invaded my home” and was insufficiently certain at first whether Mr. Trump’s wound during an assassination attempt this year was caused by a bullet or shrapnel. And he said members of Congress who investigated his role in the Jan. 6 attack should be thrown behind bars.

Former Representative Liz Cheney on Sunday called President-elect Donald J. Trump’s threat to imprison her and other members of a congressional committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol an “assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our republic.”
“Here is the truth: Donald Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seize power,” she said in a statement. “He mobilized an angry mob and sent them to the United States Capitol, where they attacked police officers, invaded the building and halted the official counting of electoral votes. Trump watched on television as police officers were brutally beaten and the Capitol was assaulted, refusing for hours to tell the mob to leave.”
She continued: “This was the worst breach of our Constitution by any president in our nation’s history. Donald Trump’s suggestion that members of Congress who later investigated his illegal and unconstitutional actions should be jailed is a continuation of his assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our republic.”

This is why Biden must issue hundreds of pardons. Trump will of course use it as justification for the thousands of pardons he will issue. Which of course he would issue regardless.
While he is at it Biden should commute the death sentences of all federal death row inmates to life without parole.
And as long as he is on a roll, Biden should grant amnesty to all undocumented aliens like Reagan did.

Dope1 and I actually agree on something! The Secret Service deleted J6 emails shortly after they were requested. I, too, think this was highly unusual and that the Secret Service didn’t just serendipitously happen to delete them after changing email systems just days after the request.
I suspect something a bit more nefarious. Like maybe Secret Service agents were involved in an insurrection. Or maybe there are photos of Secret Service agents picking their nose. Definitely one of these 2 explanations.
