Will Uncle Warren do one substantive Q and A before he leaves the field?
If Greg called me would my suggestions, violate the culture?
SPY is currently yielding about 1 percent, it's heavily concentrated in its top 8 holdings, TECH heavy, and is near all-time high valuations.
Does Buffett still believe it's appropriate for retired people to be very overweight spy, today?
meta, googl, nvda, aapl, msft, csco, ibm, etc, ALL pay a small dividend. WHY do you believe that ALL these companies have made poor capital allocation decisions? If I advised Greg to pay a 1$$ a share quarterly div on the Bs, so that the yield on brkb was competitive to the yield on SPY, would I be violating the culture at brkb? Would brkb be a compelling value vs SPY with less exposure to tech, a more conservative current valuation, PLUS, the fact that brkb can buy back stock aggressively on weakness.
Is it material that brkb does not offer stock or option-based compensation hence a share of brkb bought back by Berkshire is more significant than shares bought back at other public companies that aggressively offer stock-based comp.
Am I violating the culture to point out bullish opportunities at brk, would Greg be violating the culture if he took my advice?
Greg should hire a full-time forensic accountant to visit every one of our wholly owned subs. I trust, BUT, I verify.
We all love Buffett, BUT, am I the only partner who has noticed that in many instances over the years Buffett has been a poor judge of character, and his non-confrontational personality causes him to, hold on, to relationships both business and personal, WAY too long?
Do any of my questions or suggestions, violate the culture? Now Greg can blame me, following all or a few of my suggestions will allow Berkshire to increase demand for brkb common so that the Foundations enjoy higher proceeds from the sales of all his shares over the next decade.
Please keep the spitballs below the neck in response to this post, thank you. ::))
