If they do.....then they are as dumb as we are.
They can string this puppy out to where Americans have to pay 6 a gallon to *gasp* go to little Billy's Travel Soccer Tournament.
They can demand The Senate starts one day's prayer in Farsi.
If they sign now, my goodness they miss a chance to truly beat NeoConservatives and their Israeli slavers.

Or, at least as likely:
Trump doesn't release frozen Iranian funds.
Trump charges a "toll" on Iranian shipping.
Trump stiffs Iran on reconstruction money.
Typical "JC" playbook: promise them anything, to get them to "play ball" now. As soon as the "JC" gets what he wants, he reneges on his promises.

I agree. They've got the Felon by this short and curlies. They may not want to be bombed, but they can endure it pretty easily. They have less to lose than the Felon does, and I think they know it. As long as they don't do something to motivate Congress to release funds to continue the conflict, they can just wait him out. The House already voted to end hostilities, with numerous Rep defections. I think that's an indication of the mood, and his decaying support.

Tribals can't see beyond Trump.
Do you people not understand that Trump is gone in a few years but (maybe) your so-called "Republic" lasts a bit longer?
But hey, maybe he'll join Elon and Bezos in the poor house---after all Teslas and Washington Post got boycotted.
Cmon Club 401K--- you lost the country to Trump twice.
Try something new-----

Absolutely. But it still might be in their interest to sign. They'll have lots of opportunities to use their newly-proven power over the Strait over time, as well as their neighbors' new recognition that having a U.S. base or several in your country doesn't do as much to protect you in this new age of drones. I think they'd welcome having the U.S. draw down their deployment to normal levels (or lower, if Dope1's idea that this was done so that we can move assets out of the region is correct), get their own trade through Hormuz back up to normal, and cash in whatever funds/sanctions relief are tied to those milestones. And then they can go back to yanking DJT around, knowing they've got him whipped and he's not going to be able to restart the fighting anywhere close to prior levels.

Not just the Felon. Future POTUSes for the foreseeable future (whether MAGA or not).
It's a loose parallel, but it seems like a country that had very little military (and little interest in the affairs of others), but when attacked became a global superpower in response. Iran isn't like to become a superpower, but they have a lot more power than they did a few months ago.
