I asked a friend in the Philippines:
Hi (Lapsody). Sorry for the late reply I was already sleeping when you sent this and it's a holiday here today so I woke up late.🙂
Here, if you're born male even if you're transgender, you have to use the male locker room. Same with those born female by birth who have to use the female locker room. But that could change soon as some senators and congressmen here are proposing a third bathroom for gender neutral persons.
(Gender neutral? Does that mean +- = 0?)
;P

Yeah...it seems simple: Use the john that corresponds with the plumbing you currently have.

However, if you recall, I posted an article where a janitress at a wet market ordered a trans woman to use the men's bathroom and it appears she was corrected. (But it may be she was one of the few who have objections and need to become more familiar and understanding.) So what my friend thinks is so, and actual practice may be two different things. Since trans women can be open there, women get used to them.

Smart! And basic common sense. Avoids the purgatory of an infinity of gray areas that are inherent as we try to establish logical compromises in a universe of feelings that are by their very nature amorphous.
