Grand Jury Votes to Indict Donald Trump.
An indictment will likely be announced in the coming days. By then, prosecutors working for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, will have asked Mr. Trump to surrender and to face arraignment on charges that remain unknown for now.

What's terrifying is that this could happen to any of us who illegally pay hush money to a porn star to help swing a presidential election!

Dope1: Even the Washington Post's editorial board is saying uhhhhh....
Yeah, everyone has an opinion about an indictment they have not even seen yet. But let me count the ways in which Donald Trump may be indicted or put on trial for possible criminal behavior:
1. People of NY State vs Donald Trump [Trump indicted (or as he likes to say, 'indicated')]
2. Fulton County, Georgia. ["I just want to find 11780 votes."]
3. The former president's efforts to prevent the peaceful transfer of power on Jan. 6, 2021.
4. Mishandling of classified documents, misleading government officials and obstruction.
5. Fraudulently inflating the value of his real estate assets.
6. Capitol Police officers and Democratic legislators are suing the former president, arguing that his actions on Jan. 6 incited the mob that caused them physical and emotional harm.
7. The rape of E. Jean Carroll [trial begins this month].
What'd I miss?
The guy is a walking, talking crime spree.

I think what went around is now coming around.
In the 90's, a President was dogged and impeached for lying about sex.
Now, a President is indicted - for paying to keep sex hushed up in a world where millions and billions in corrupt wars and patronage are "within the law" but taking money out of political petty cash to pay off the pork-pie is a big crime.
Americans, our priorities are a beacon to the world.

in the short term, he will get great benefit for fundraising, millions in free media publicity drawn away from primary opponents, and definitely monetization of upcoming mugshot t-shirts with plenty of american flag\guns themes.
unfortunate that it took this petty crime to be first, rather than past\current attempts at serious accountability. the DA probably tanked his career, if not worse, to get the ball rolling. (item 3 below)

Even if the case doesn't result in a conviction, Trump's wrongdoing is memorialized for all time. Bragg will do fine even if it means a move to a private practice.

Trump: 'No. No. What else?'
Reporter: 'Then why did Michael Cohen make those if there was no truth to her allegations?'
Trump: 'Well, you'll have to ask Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney. And you'll have to ask Michael Cohen.'
Reporter: 'Do you know where he got the money to make that payment?'
Trump: 'No, I don't know. No.'

In the interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Rudolph Giuliani, who has also served as Trump's lawyer, said Trump had, in fact, repaid Cohen to silence Daniels.
Giuliani: 'Having something to do with paying some Stormy Daniels woman $130,000, I mean, which is going to turn out to be perfectly legal. That money was not campaign money, sorry, I'm giving you a fact now that you don't know. It's not campaign money. No campaign finance violation. So ''
Hannity: 'They funneled it through a law firm.'
