Steve Bannon Compares Trump to Hillary Clinton in Stunning Attack

During a discussion about Trump’s threat to use the U.S. military to come to the defense of Iranian civilians protesting against the brutal Islamist regime in charge of their country, Bannon expressed his strong disapproval.

“Aren’t people teasing right now that Samantha Powers [sic] and Hillary Clinton must somehow have gotten invited to the Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve celebration because the president coming out today saying, ‘Hey, we’re locked and loaded,’ isn’t that straight from the Samantha Powers and Hillary Clinton playbook?” asked Bannon.

I figured they were equally corrupt megalomaniacs. My read was, that, of the two, Trump was such a clumsy oaf that he would be caught. Hillary might be smooth enough to get away with it. So, I voted Trump. He was caught, twice.

Right. Tough call.

And what did Hillary ever accomplish, on her own, without riding Bill's coattails? Yet, she carried on like she was the center of the universe, constantly playing the gender card to insist she was entitled to everything she wanted. And her constant whining about her victimhood: "vast right wing conspiracy", "vast left wing conspiracy", "made dominated media conspiracy", "male candidates conspiracy". Remember her pettiness on election night in 16?

Steve203: So, what did she really, ever, accomplish, on her own, without riding Bill's coattails?

Well...

--Secured federal funding for New York’s recovery and health care for Ground Zero first responders and survivors.

--As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, she helped extend TRICARE health benefits and pushed for improved care for veterans.

--As a senator for New York state, she supported small business growth, worked to raise the minimum wage, and expanded broadband access to underserved rural areas.

--She helped expand Head Start programs, and improved access to student loans and Pell Grants.

--As chair of the Senate Superfund and Environmental Health Subcommittee, she pushed legislation to reduce toxic exposures in public housing and protect natural resources.

--She played a central role in imposing sanctions on Iran that built pressure ahead of later nuclear negotiations.

--She helped secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in 2012 and made human rights—including women’s and LGBT rights—a higher priority in diplomatic dialogues.

Clinton was a senator and a secretary of state, experience on par with many candidates before they became presidents.

I gave you a list of the clusterfcuk that is Don the Pedo. WTAF had Don the Pedo done prior to 2016 that made your choice a "tough decision"... be in a 'Home Alone' movie for 30 seconds or cosplay a business genius in 'The Apprentice'?

Jeez.

--She played a central role in imposing sanctions on Iran that built pressure ahead of later nuclear negotiations.

She voted for Bush's wars too.

Everything else on your list is "helped" or "pushed".

Where did she "lead"?

from the net sifter:

During her U.S. Senate tenure, Hillary Clinton authored or sponsored several bills that became law, primarily focused on designating historic sites or post offices, like the Kate Mullany National Historic Site Act, naming roads such as the Timothy J. Russert Highway, and the Major George Quamo Post Office Building Act; she also introduced legislation for issues like mental health parity and addressed health disparities, though many of her notable legislative efforts involved co-sponsoring bills like the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

Key Legislation Authored/Sponsored by Clinton:

Kate Mullany National Historic Site Act (S. 1241): Established a historic site in Troy, NY.

Major George Quamo Post Office Building Act (S. 3613): Named a post office in Averill Park, NY.

Timothy J. Russert Highway Act (S. 3145): Designated a highway section in Orchard Park, NY.

Calling for 2-1-1 Act (S. 211): Supported access to community information.

Paycheck Fairness Act (S. 182): Aimed at equal pay, co-sponsored with many others.

Mental Health Parity Legislation: Sponsored bills focusing on mental health coverage.

While she introduced hundreds of bills, amendments, and resolutions, most of her successful sponsored bills were commemorative or for specific New York sites, but she actively worked on broader issues like health care, veterans' benefits, and environmental protection, often through co-sponsorship and amendments

oohhh, naming Post Offices.

I gave you a list of the clusterfcuk that is Don the Pedo.

I agree. The God and Savior is a jumped up piece of goo.

Can you give me your short list of women in politics who would have been (or are now) better qualified to be POTUS than either Trump or Hillary?

As for myself, though I wouldn't necessarily say they are better qualified than Hillary, I'd have no problem gladly voting for Susan Rice, Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris, or even Condoleezza Rice over Trump.

But none of them were on the ballot in 16.

Any of them are better than a corrupt megalomaniac, like Hillary, or Trump.

Presidential job qualifications aside, to consider Hillary more than one tenth as corrupt as Trump - even before the 2016 election - is crazy talk.

Megalomania is pretty much a prerequisite to run for political office, but measuring it is an inexact science.

Corruption on the other hand is well accounted for. From your favorite "net sifter" - mine is Google's Gemini:

Whether Hillary Clinton is "corrupt" is a subject of intense public and political debate, often depending on one's perspective on her long career in public service. There have been several high-profile investigations into her actions, but no criminal charges were ever filed.

Here is a breakdown of the key areas that have fueled this discussion:

1. The Private Email Server Inquiry
While serving as Secretary of State, Clinton used a private email server for official communications.

The Investigation: The FBI conducted an extensive investigation into whether she mishandled classified information.

The Conclusion: In 2016, then-FBI Director James Comey described her actions as "extremely careless" but stated that "no reasonable prosecutor" would bring a case, as there was no clear evidence of intentional defiance of laws.

2. The Clinton Foundation
Critics have frequently raised concerns about "pay-to-play" politics, suggesting that donors to the Clinton Foundation received favorable treatment from the State Department.

The Allegations: Questions were raised regarding whether the foundation's work created conflicts of interest.

The Findings: While some internal memos and emails showed donors seeking access, multiple reviews and investigations have not produced evidence of a formal "quid pro quo" or illegal exchange of favors for donations.

3. Benghazi
The 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, led to years of congressional oversight.

The Focus: Investigators looked into whether the State Department ignored requests for more security and if the administration's initial public account of the attack was intentionally misleading.

The Result: After several exhaustive committee reports, investigators found systemic failures in security but no evidence of intentional wrongdoing or "corruption" by Clinton herself.

Perspective and Public Perception
Critics argue that the sheer number of investigations and "near misses" suggests a pattern of operating above the law or using public office for personal gain.

Supporters point out that despite decades of intense scrutiny and multimillion-dollar investigations by political opponents, she has never been charged with a crime, suggesting many of the claims are politically motivated.

I also find your opinions interesting.

I also am baffled by how in 2016 you thought Trump was the lesser evil vs Hillary. You are an investor, surely you knew of Trump's pathetic
business "acumen". But even with Trump's lifelong carnage of a business career, Trump's "avoiding STD's was my Vietnam", Trump getting Daddy's Doctor to declare he had an awful case of bone spurs in order to evade the 'Nam draft, Trump born with the biggest case of a silver spoon in his mouth of any Presidential candidate that I'm aware of, Trump being the offspring of a Father that was a known slumlord, Trump being up close and tight with mob lawyer Roy Cohn, ..........., despite all of that, Hillary was the greater evil ??!!

Luv ya, man, but am also totally baffled at your "Trump was the lesser evil than Hillary", lol.

...depending on one's perspective on her long career in public service.

And what "long career" would that be? She rode Bill's coattails into the Arkansas Governor's office. Then she rode his coattails into the Presidency. The only elective office she ever held was a safe Blue Senate seat that was handed to her, when Moynihan retired. Would the party machine have done that for any other neophyte? Then she did one term as SecState, to mend the rift caused by Obama winning, against the pick of the party machine. Then the party machine handed all the "super delegates" to her in 2016. Again, would the machine do that for anyone with such a thin resume, without her riding Bill's coattails?

How safely blue is that seat?

94: Moynihan 55.25%

2000: Clinton 55.27%

2006: Clinton 67.00%

2012: Gillibrand 72.21%

2018: Gillibrand 67.0%

2024: Gillibrand 58.91%

Since Hillary never did anything, but leach off of Bill's coattails, she has no personal record, like Trump does. And, she wasn't draft bait, the way WASP young men were. Remember Bill doing some sort of quick two-step to evade the draft? Remember Dick Cheney doing several quick two-steps to evade the draft? Remember "W" Bush and Dan Quayle having their daddies pull strings to get them into the Guard, to protect them from the draft?

Luv ya, man, but am also totally baffled at your "Trump was the lesser evil than Hillary", lol.

As pointed out, several times, over the years: my calculus said that Hillary is smoother than Trump, and might get away with the crap she would pull. While Trump was such an oaf, he would be caught. And he was caught, twice: Holding Congressionally approved aid for Ukraine, to try to force that country to create "dirt" on Hunter, and, again, for trying to overthrow the government. If nothing else, Hillary would be shrieking that the prosecutions were "another huge conspiracy against women", because she plays the victim card just as much as Trump. Trump's problem with playing the victim card is it's a hard case to make for a born rich WASP male.

Never pegged you for a sexist but, well, it is what it is.

Yeah, it was a cakewalk for Clinton in NY -- a state that had never elected a woman to statewide office -- with republicans calling her a carpetbagger who was stealing money from the Clinton Foundation.

And, jeebus, Bill was an albatross around her neck.

Tell me, who had the better resume for a presidential run: Obama, who was a state senator from 97-04 and a U.S. senator for three years, or Clinton, who was a U.S. senator from 01-09 and secretary of state from 09-13?

And then who had the better resume in 2016: Clinton or Pedo Don?

In both cases, it ain't even close.

You are buying in to Hillary's gender victimhood narrative, which she uses to deflect criticism?

...with republicans calling her a carpetbagger

Well, neither Clinton had any historical connection to NY. They bought the house because they needed to establish residence, when the party machine handed her the seat. Arkansas wasn't as blue as it had been, before the GOP went full racist, so she would have had to really work for a seat there, and may still have lost. Or, she may have had to settle for a seat in the state legislature, and actually do something to earn a seat in Congress.

And what did Hillary ever accomplish, on her own, without riding Bill's coattails?

1969 - Graduated Wellesley College
1973 - Graduated Yale Law School
73-74 - Congressional legal counsel
1975 - Married Bill Clinton
1977 - co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families
1979 - first female partner at Rose Law Firm in Little Rock
1994 - as FLOTUS advocated for health care reform in Congress
1997-1999 - played role in creating the State Children's Health Insurance Program, the Adoption and Safe Families Act, and the Foster Care Independence Act
2000 - Elected to US Senate - first female Senator from NY
2003-2007 - chaired the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee
2009 - Secretary of State under Obama

What were you saying about accomplishing things on her own?

According to google's AI:

Hillary Clinton was not officially acting as the President alongside Bill Clinton, as the U.S. Constitution assigns presidential powers solely to the elected President. However, she did redefine the role of the First Lady by taking on significant, unprecedented policymaking responsibilities, leading to a perception among some that their administration was a "co-presidency".
Key aspects of her influential role included:

Policy Leadership: President Clinton appointed his wife to chair the Task Force on National Health Care Reform in 1993, an initiative aimed at providing universal health coverage. This was the first time a First Lady had been given a formal role leading a major policy initiative.
Official Role: She had her own office in the West Wing and was a key member of the President's inner circle of advisers, actively participating in high-level discussions and decisions.
Legislative Work: While the comprehensive healthcare plan (often dubbed "Hillarycare") did not pass, she was instrumental in the passage of other significant legislation, including the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and the Adoption and Safe Families Act.
Public and International Advocacy: She became a forceful advocate for women's and children's rights both domestically and internationally, delivering a landmark speech at the UN World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995.

Her high level of involvement in policy was a departure from the traditional, more ceremonial role of previous First Ladies and drew both admiration and intense political criticism. Opponents criticized her for wielding significant power without being an elected official, which fueled the narrative of a "co-presidency" and made her a polarizing figure during that era.

But you still managed to vote for a lying, multiple bankrupt, multiple marriage blowhard with zero qualification for President instead of a well-qualified woman? I guess everyone has to learn in their own way.
