IBKR supposedly has a feature called Indextrader which allows you to create a basket based on the index components which you can then place as a single order. It is described here: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/tws...

Problem is I can't find the menu item where it is supposed to be under 'Trading Tools'/'Multi-Instrument'. Does anyone know where I can find/enable it?

On my IB trader workstation it is called "BasketTrader" - at least I think that is what you are referring to and what they are presently calling it. It is, as you say, under Trading Tools / Multi-Instrument.

I'm familiar with the 'BasketTrader', it's a different tool. The 'IndexTrader' creates a list of the index constituents which can then be executed via the 'BasketTrader'

In case anyone else is interested, I finally got an answer from IB customer service and they told me that they no longer support the IndexTrader since April 2018. Too bad.
