Maybe:
https://dailysceptic.org/2026/03/10/ursula-von-der...

Today, von der Leyen is President of the European Commission, and she has decided that maybe the phase-out wasn’t such a great idea after all. Far from abandoning nuclear energy, she now wants the EU to be become a world-leading “pioneer in nuclear technology”:

While in 1990 one-third of Europe’s energy came from nuclear, today it’s only close to 15%. This reduction in the share of nuclear was a choice. And in hindsight, it was as strategic mistake for Europe to turn its back on a reliable, affordable source of low-emission power. This should change. … Nuclear energy is reliable, providing electricity all year around the clock. … Europe has been a pioneer in nuclear technology and could once against lead the world in it.

Good for them.

Remember, nuclear will never have a resurgence.

And "Fossil Fuels are uninvestable"

Ironically:

Von der Leyen's native Germany took a political decision under then-Chancellor Angela Merkel to phase out nuclear power plants owing to public opposition and safety concerns after the 2011 Fukushima disaster. Von der Leyen was a minister in Merkel's government when that decision was made.

All of the above--- that's someone who wants balance, and to prudently get to a place that is best.

The Climate 401K'ers who solely want to lower the standard of living of Americans---- don't want to hear it.

Don't know where that comes from, in my Sci Fi world it's doing fine. It's a pity we moved away. I disagree with most greens.

And "Fossil Fuels are uninvestable"

Venezuelas may become investable if we keep Trumpers in the oval office.

Indeed. Wind and solar forever!

They will be around for a very long time. I agreed with old Advocatus Diaboli ? that if we lose a couple of acres now and then to an accident we're still much better off with nuclear. We need the alternate sources too, and we need oil to lube machines.

In my Sci Fi world we understand the variables between universes and tap into that power.
