Personal anecdote - Keytruda looks like it could be a real gamechanger itself. When my wife had breast cancer (diagnosed in 2023 - Keytruda was fairly new) she was given Keytruda in addition to chemo, surgery, and radiation. When she was diagnosed, we read that patients with her particular type of breast cancer had a long-term survival rate of around 50% if the patient made it to 5 years of remission. I've seen studies recently where that survival rate for patients that took Keytruda is now estimated to be in the upper 90s after 5 years of remission. She recently hit her 2-year remission mark; fingers crossed but I'm much more optimistic than I was a couple of years ago.
It really seems like there is a lot of good news on the cancer front these days. Very encouraging.
