Yeah. I note that the Charlie Kirk thing is dominating. "Another school shooting? Meh. But CHARLIE KIRK!! OMG!"
Not that either is good. They're not. But I question priorities.
I know very little about him other than he was an extreme right-wing dude. I'm sure he was all "thoughts and prayers" every time school kids got massacred. Well...since I'm an atheist, just "thoughts" from me. If he thought that was good enough for all the slaughtered children over the years, it's certainly good enough for him. Give me a heads-up whenever we get serious about gun control.
No fatalities yet from the school shooting. Two victims and the perp (alleged) are being treated at a hospital.

Worse than that, the most remarkable Charlie Kirk quote to resurface in the wake of his death is horrifically callous;
“It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment”
It would not be surprising if the shooter was the parent of a slaughtered school child (or other victim of wanton gun violence). A crime of passion.
Who doesn't understand the unrelenting pain and anguish tormenting the parents of elementary school children who had been ripped apart by rounds from an assault rifle?
"Prove me wrong."

Another fine Medal of Freedom recipient.

Then the person who said this ended up being part of the cost.
He’s already approved of his own death.

Glad I read ahead. That's almost exactly what I was going to respond. He's just "part of the cost". Oh well.
Not that they shouldn't catch and prosecute the perp. They should (and very likely will...I read they found the rifle used**).
**Too bad we don't have mandatory registration. They'd be able to track the owner of that weapon with a few keystrokes.
