Dear Jim,

I wanted to reach out to you regarding the recent criticism you received from dealraker. I sincerely hope that this feedback doesn't discourage you from continuing to post. It's evident from the number of likes your content receives that there are many of us who genuinely enjoy what you share. Myself included.

Please don't allow the opinion of one critical individual to overshadow the positive impact you have on your audience. Your posts bring value to our lives and our wallets, and it would be a shame if you stopped sharing because of this isolated incident.

Keep up the great work, Jim! Your voice and perspective are valued, and I encourage you to continue posting with the same enthusiasm and authenticity that we appreciate.

Best regards,

Mark

I hadn't noticed anything.
I went off grid for a bit and must have missed stuff..just as well?

Obviously I only write posts because I'm a rec hog, but if some folks aren't interested that's cool.
I hope everyone bears in mind that I write about things that interest me, certainly not in proportion to how much I might invest in them.

For example, has anyone noticed that Amazon's stock price, despite being up a remarkable 70.8% year to date, has underperformed the average S&P 500 company's stock in the last five years?
The difference is about 9.2%, not annualized, using RSP as a good prosy to track "the average S&P 500 firm".
This says nothing about the relative attractiveness at the moment, but it suggests that Amazon stock wasn't a particularly timely pick five years ago.
Great firm, great progress in business results. But for me, the recent return outcome suggests the wisdom of remembering that there exists no growth rate so high that valuation doesn't matter.

Jim

Mungo - I echo the comments made by Mark. When TMF boards went south, I missed the contributions of quite a few major contributors. I'll admit that I was elated when, through information shared by others here on this board, I was made aware of Manlobbi creating this forum. I find the open sharing of information (good or otherwise) invaluable in that it provides the contributor's perspective on a wide variety of issues. I don't read everything you and others post - but what I do read and keep, I consider an extension of my personal library. And yes - thanks to you, EliasFardo, Hartmanbirge (sp?), and the many others then and now who made the transition to this forum, I am in a much better position ... so Thank You all!
