Communism never worked, modernly Socialism seems to be defined by the allowance of a little private ownership. So there were a few fleeting years of communism.
However, a blend of socialism and capitalism, within a democratic framework seems to be proven to work best and the Nordic countries are the examples. So I'm not against social democrats, as they abide by democratic processes, which our present MAGA style Republikans do not. It remains to be seen which Mamdani will work out to be.

And you are ignorant enough to talk about a "Nordic System" when each one of those countries has their own system. You just chose that as your springboard.
No, each one has a different approach. In Sweden about 40% of the corporations are owned by the gov (last I looked), about the same as Singapore. Sweden owns the blast furnace for instance - necessary for steel to make Saabs. Norway owns 60% of what used to be named Statoil, which it uses to help pensions IIRC. And guess what? They have Democratic Socialists! Or is it Social Democrats? :)
