There's no evidence he had "deep Groyper community ties." There's evidence that he did some meme-y stuff - but memes propagate all over the place, especially among young people, and trying to establish "community ties" from the fact that someone repeats a meme is a fool's errand. The Helldivers 2 speculation is especially foolish, since that was one of the best-selling video games in the year it was released.
And what little we know of the suspect doesn't mesh with any strong Groyper affiliation. He doesn't appear to have had a large online presence. He appears to have been accepting of trans people (Groypers are anti-LGBTQ).

The jury is still out, but it's more believable when the mother says it, to me. Most moms love their sons, and if she knew he was dating, he was close enough to be honest with her it seems. Doesn't have to be and everyone has a right to be skeptical.

He was raised in one of the reddest States in the USA. His dad was a Utah sheriff,I think,
which is highly likely to mean Conservative. He is a Mormon, as far as I know they

I was not happy that Kirk got shot, and that it happened in front of his family

the photo's I've seen of the family scrapbook at the shooting range, including 1 of him
launching an RPG, I believe, somehow remind me of the kid who shot up Oxford, Michigan
high school. Mommy bought him his own special handgun, and they had Mommy/Son
bonding moments at the shooting range. And when Son was hauled in on
mass-murder charges, Mommy suddenly downplayed all of the family bonding moments
at the shooting range.
So Mommy-Robinson looking for ways to shed guilt for her son's murderous actions,
to do anything to shed blame away from their surely God-fearing upbringing of
their Son, is par for the course. Not surprised at all by this, and don't

Frankly, I don't trust the Feds to tell the truth in a charging document at this point. I'm not that cynical about states yet. But if any state were to go down that path, Utah would be on the short list of states to start manufacturing "alternative facts."
