"Disney managers told to identify layoff candidates, with 4K job cuts expected by April: report"
-------------------------
Good opportunity to thin the herd based on merit but knowing Disney, it will be used to promote equity. Regular, non-aggrieved employees would be well advised to declare themselves trans in order enjoy the favoritism conferred by victim hood.

Disney has 223,000 employees, so 1.7%. Not really a huge number in the scheme of things. Facebook, by contrast, is axing 13% of its workforce. Amazon is at 6% (a much bigger real number because has multiple times the number of employees) and Microsoft is at 5%.
AOL, by contrast, wait, just kidding. Who cares?

Paging 4k at Disney.... in the scheme of things, no biggie ok?
Facebook and MSFT.... well they can easily "get Green Jobs" - just like oil workers and coal workers are told.
Progress on the Coasts....all of that *and* their depositors got taken care of.

Actually most of the people being laid off at tech companies are finding work quickly, often within a week or two, at other more traditional companies which need tech workers are were not able to attract them for the past several years (because the big 'glamor' companies were scooping them up.) I read these tale of one recent hire Facebook employee who had to beg for work, they hired her but had nothing for her to do!
Anyway, Ford, GE, QVC, Disney+, and tons of other 'old line' companies are hiring in the tech category, not to mention colleges & universities which need to beef up that segment of faculty.
It's the people without skills that are moving further down the socioeconomic ladder. As usual, I guess.

Why do you let yourself be programmed like this.
It is entertaining to laugh at though.

<Why do you let yourself be programmed like this.>
Such an interesting question!
Makes me wonder...
So many people in the world,
asleep...the walking dead.
Is it possible to wake them?
