You actually believe that a 10% across-the-board tariff on imports, a 60% tariff on imports from China, and a 100% tariff on foreign cars – including from Mexico – is "better for the economy"?

Well, sure, if, as Moody's forecasts, you want to see the US economy lose at least 675,000 jobs, wipe out 0.6 percentage points from US gross domestic product, and boost the unemployment rate by 0.4 percentage points. And a decline in real income, consumer spending from higher prices, and knock-on effects that could do further damage to the U.S. and world economies.

And what border policy? Build a wall and have Mexico pay for it? Separate children from their families? Ban Muslims?

In case you missed it, he personally killed a bipartisan border policy so that nitwits could say, "Oh, Trump is better for our security."

Sheesh.

BTW, border encounters are now as low as they were in 2019, pre-pandemic.
