All that XOM talk made me think of the old Jurgen book: The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power. Written in 1990. If you think about it most of what oil offers is muscle. The ability to do labor. Changed the world. This is what's next:

I agree that cheap and plentiful power is a huge key to prosperity and China is going to beat everyone because they are doing nuclear, solar and coal with little regulation and lots of subsidies. There is no, "not in my backyard" in China.

Hopefully we catch up and Berkshire Energy can help us stay competitive.
