Last year when brkb was 525ish I suggested that Buffett should expedite his gifting so that the Foundations could sell 20 billion into the strength. Of course he didn't.
This year Buffett via the foundations should sell 25 billion back to brkb at 475 ish, and the Foundations would agree to not sell any more stock for two years so that Greg can, settle in and show his game plan, going forward.
IF, I had Buffett's power of attorney, he would sever ALL ties with a certain foundation, and use the 25 billion to build affordable housing in a few major cities in crisis.
The 30 % of Americans who are food, shelter, and or health care insecure don't need saving accounts for their kids, they need the basics.
That's what I would love to hear Saturday, perhaps Uncle W will shock us.
