Good morning bud, why would a guy with your level of investing expertise have any interest in what Ray Dalio has to say?

Let's debate the 1999 letter, THATS a productive use of our time! Thank you, ::))

My level of investing expertise is down with the baby grasshoppers. I can use Google, though.

Do you mean the Ray Dalio who made famous the "All Weather Portfolio"?

https://testfol.io/?s=2gYmvR2lzic
CAGR 1996-05-09 to now:
7.38% Ray Dalio All Weather Portfolio
10.02% SPY
10.78% BRK-B

https://testfol.io/?s=iJ6yGVwo56r
CAGR 2000-01-01 to now (about when the 1999 letter came out):
6.74% Ray Dalio All Weather Portfolio
8.08% SPY
11.55% BRK-B

I'd have a third less money if I'd done the Ray Dalio All Weather Portfolio in 2000.

I know, I know, Bridgewater did far, far better than that.
How did they do that? Does anyone know? Could you invest in it back in 2000? Can you invest in it now?

Still, I will read about him. Sounds like an interesting old dude. I see he did the giving pledge, very cool.
