Interestingly, Mississippi introduced accountability and Magic happened. It’s unlikely that the sources of information utilized by board liberals have made them aware of this.

I mean, I'm aware of it. The New York Times has been run articles on it for the last several years. Here's one from 2023, and they ran a pretty big story about it a month ago.

Matt Yglesias also had an interesting analysis noting Mississippi's performance, and putting it in the context of what's been happening nationally (which BTW has been terrible, in both Blue States and Red States, sadly):

I'm not sure it's a "sources of information" problem, but as noted by The Argument article above, there's more skepticism on the part of liberals towards how "real" this performance is than is probably warranted.
