About posters that consistently ignore the social etiquette that makes these boards so valuable? These posters have zero respect for the rest of us and will likely drive away worthwhile discussions if serious action is not taken.

It wouldn't be an issue if the folks who feel this way just ignore the poster. Its an incredibly useful and civil board for me most of the time. The times when it stops being that is when posters I do not have on ignore reply to those that do. If folks would just stop engaging with the trolls and avoid the temptation to reply to their posts, or better yet, just ignore them, your concern would evaporate.

There is no need for Manlobbi to be more interventionist or to act as a moderator. People just need to use the tools he has already provided.

The "frowny face" icon next to the poster's name at top of each post is the "ignore" feature -- click it to ignore that poster.
I must be ignoring the "right people", I've been in blissful ignorance of this issue.
