Apple announced a $500 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing over the next 4 years, that also includes hiring 20,000 employees. I support this type of high tech manufacturing in the U.S. (for both economic and national security reasons) which is why I am a supporter of Biden’s CHIPs Act.
Of course, this won’t do much to solve the unemployment of individuals who do not have a college degree. From the link:

I think at times, tariffs, tax policy, or even the President's bully pulpit can yield good things and bad.

PS: Well before Trump, China told all their gov't people not to use Apple stuff. And btw China's home brand is rising a bit in China. I guess they are allowed to do that and we aren't.
