JPM isn't the only one.

Ford employees have been told they could be fired if they don't follow the company's RTO mandate

In June, the Detroit automaker told employees they would be required to come into the office four days a week from September 1. Ford said the move would help boost growth as the company tries to transform itself into an affordable EV powerhouse.

Since announcing the policy, Ford has sent some employees emails telling them that they are not badging in enough and warning that they could face termination if they do not improve their attendance, three current and former Ford employees told Business Insider.

This is probably what put the diktat in overdrive:

On Oct. 2, an anonymous employee hijacked meeting-room screens across Ford’s offices with an anti-RTO protest image showing CEO Jim Farley’s face crossed out and the words “[Expletive] RTO,” according to the Detroit Free Press. The image circulated briefly on internal systems and social media before being removed.

...because nothing makes you feel like a big shot, more than swaggering around the office bullying and threatening the Proles.

And now Bari is asking people "what do you do all day"

Another great thing that many 401K'ers escaped.

Hopefully things like this keep setting in.

Nope, did not escape. The VP Marketing, at the pump seal company I worked at, in the late 70s, would stick his head in my cube and ask how it's going. If I said I was really busy, he would say "if you can't handle it, we'll find someone who can". If I said it was a bit slow, he would snap "then it's hard to justify keeping you around".

But, one time, I asked a question about all the honchos taking off mid-afternoon, every week in the summer, to play golf. I got quite a lecture about how important it was for them to play golf.

Can't understand why so many once prominent USian company have been run into the ground.
