In the meantime not sure if'll write stuff to Anti-Trump on other forums that are more popular and monitored. Have had some *great* discussions on certain Facebook pages and YouTube comments sections. I"m an odd one because I voted *both* for Biden and Trump---and I am extremely versant with praising or criticizing each philosophy and on said forums it's nice to call them like I see them. There's 3-4 other like minds----if you saw the chats you wouldn't have any idea who voted for who.
BUT ---despite "American citizenship" I'm not sure I want to be on someone's shit list.
Going to Vancouver in summer with family, and I'd rather not be screwed with on the way back in. Christ a strip search would guaranteed get me deported and the prisoners wouldn't even take a crack at me and that would be yet another ego ruining moment in my life.
I highly doubt there's Woke shit on any of my devices but Wifey and teenage Daughter are not fanatics - but - they certainly have disdain for Maga so I'll have to explain to them to scrub that shit before the trip.

The "weird stuff" I thought couldn't and wouldn't happen seems to be happening to an extent.
1.)Between all the checks and balances, I figured there's no way.
2.)Trump himself is a chameleon whom I didn't think believed in much of what he said and just said certain things to (wisely) bring out a cohort of voters that normally wouldn't vote and/or, a cohort who felt (somewhat understandably) that they don't count, they dont matter, that they've been ignored.
But - American citizens being screwed with at the border? Citizens? My position is well known - I'm a player for English Only. I'm a player for birthright citizenship reforms, back when I wanted the 'best' I was even for a curtailing of all immigration - in the name of assimilation. Again I'm no saint I want some of the Trump stuff BUT.....I never thought American citizens would have to fear coming into their own country.
And now the putz government employees are brazen and emboldened. Ok, many of them always had attitudes because hey, at work they have a badge, maybe a gun, and some authority while at home in real life they got a shit credit score, a baby mommy, and not much else going on. I get that and so I'm always demure no matter what when dealing with such people. But they are putting their hand on their gun, detaining Americans for overnights, wow.
THEN - while I'm not reading details - a few paragraphs I've read here and there makes me think ---Trump seriously wants to send American citizens to foreign prisons and in theory, one article I read was saying that someone like Rep Omar, could technically be stripped of citizenship and sent away. So when I think about that.....and I'm President, and I have THAT power - what's to stop me from saying "wzambon said something I don't agree with.....send him to Salvador".
On another note......
I still say. And (2) elections back me up. Certain voter blocs -no - not KKK lovers - but just normal people feel ignored and ostracized in this country for decades and they went Trump. AND Liberal attitudes, tones, pitch DID drive so many voters to Trump --- twice. And this last go around - illegal immigration rhetoric AND - the they/themhe/she stuff WON it for Trump otherwise it was not hard to beat him.
And now as someone who is admittedly concerned: I feel the ONLY way this stuff is stopped is IF his numbers really go down, and like I've said before - the Repubs 80% turn on him because he'd be a liability to them, and the idiots would figure out that they will have to go back to being Club 401K'ers in a year if they don't get re-elefted.
BECAUSE, in this tribal-caste based country, the voters are *unable* to come together, decide to put differences aside, cause a change, and then go back to mud wrestling. It would require swallowing on both sides but more from the Left. I'll just say it one more time:
GOP'ers are cowards who won't stand up to it. Hey, they are politicians wanting reelection. BUT if citizens just picked out a handful sand said "Look Mr GOP. Normally we think you're a prick. BUT if you're willing to stand with us on this crazy stuff.....we DEMOCRATS will come out for you, and make sure you win. So basically - WE can re-elect you while your buddy is gonna end your career. What's it gonna be?
Otherwise right now, the echo chamber, the bros, the podcasts, are gonna keep controlling GOP politics for just a bit longer.
My way - hard to swallow - but would actually work BEYOND just posting shit for likes on Yoga Mom forums online.
Certainly Dems will in 2026. But things can happen between now and then.

LOl I just rote a post on AOL comments under a news story about an American citizen detained overnight.
I freely wrote it, thought nothing of it.
Just a minute ago I logged back on and quickly deleted it.
