Alex Pretti, who was killed by ICE agents, was putting himself between ICE agents and a woman, trying to protect her from them. He put his hand up, backed away, and had no handgun in his hand, only his phone, and ICE agents repeatedly sprayed Pretti in the face with a chemical agent, tackled him, and disarmed him.

Murder charges against ALL the ICE/CBP personnel involved. Jails will fill up quickly, as these types of crimes can carry a mandatory life jail sentence with no probation or parole.

Carrying a gun is not that unusual in Shinyland, anymore. Even in the far west burbs of Detroit, where I live. I was sitting in a pizza carry out, waiting for my pizza, and a couple young women came in. One had a pistol in the waistband of her pants. Such is the country we have built over the last 40 years.

In his presser today, Gov Walz said files are being compiled to file charges against the ICE officers involved. Good luck with that. Trump the Perfect will protect his storm troopers, and possibly toss the Gov and Mayor in prison, when he invoked martial law in the metro MSP area, which is where the bulk of Minnesota Dem votes are.

The gun is pretty evident in the gray coat man's right hand at about the 39 second mark. He's holding it by the barrel I think, which makes sense if he just grabbed it off the soon-to-be-dead Mr. Petti.

A police veteran was asked about the situation on the NBC evening news. The officer said, of course, that carrying a property licensed gun is not a crime in the US. The officers would only be justified in shooting, if Pretti had pulled the gun, brandished the gun, or said words to the effect he intended to shoot the officers. Personally, if there were half a dozen officers on me, I understand do NOT pull a gun, because that makes you a legit target.
Finding a gun on his person, one officer shouted "gun", to alert the others, as they are trained to do. When local authorities asked the officers who saw Pretti brandish the gun, there was no answer.

The agricultural regions of California are quite red.
The first weeks of ICE action our ag labor panicked and simply didn't show up. I think that generated a lot of irate messaging from the big ag companies that back conservative candidates.
Note that the FoxTrump admin and DHS stopped yakking about both BadBunny and making sure only Americans can attend the upcoming superbowl in Santa Clara .

Outstate Minnesota is red too. The states four Dem House members are all from the metro MSP area. The four Repubs represent outstate. Declare "insurrection" in the metro area, so the Dems don't vote, while the Repubs outstate do vote. Repeat in Cali and NY: shut down the Dem voting cities, while the rural, red, areas vote, and Trump the Magnificent and Perfect has an even more compliant Congress.
