Eh....why the hell not? Take the human out of the spirit interpreting business. If AI can be used to unquestioningly promote a particular set of 'faith' based 'beliefs', then it ain't intelligence.

Let AI decide which bible is correct, to debunk that which is, to the best of our knowledge, physically impossible, if not statistically improbable?

Old Testament or New? Book of Mormon? Quran or Torah?

Alexa.... Consider the major religions books. Which religious book components will result in the best and worst outcomes for mankind and the environment?

...and the observation that AI preaching will certainly be competition for the majors..... allowing an entity to create an electronic church for each religion in all languages that solicits donations in all currencies and crypto. The ultimate grift.

I liked this bit from the article:

Critics of A.I. use by religious leaders have pointed to the issue of hallucinations — times when chatbots make stuff up. While harmless in certain situations, faith-based A.I. tools that fabricate religious scripture present a serious problem. In Rabbi Bot’s sermon, for instance, the A.I. invented a quote from the Jewish philosopher Maimonides that would have passed as authentic to the casual listener.

The Bible writers employed the same techniques.

They sorta cheated. They trained it on the rabbi's sermons. Not on the text of the "scriptures". I wonder what sort of monstrosity would result if they trained it on [insert silly book here]. There's a lot of hate and smiting in them.

AI religion would be a natural business into which the Trump grifters could expand. They're supposedly already streaming religious programs on Trumps TMTG/Truth Social business.

Using AI to provide content for all the marketable religions, in all languages, accepting donations in all currencies and crypto.... all it would take is feeding in the books <torah.bhagavad gita.quran.bibles.bookofmoron.etc> and some sample sermons for each to get the format service down pat.

But how to account for the major schisms in the majors? Hmmm.
