Mad King Donald has now threatened to take over the patents of Harvard University, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Harvard holds more than 5,800 patents.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick sent a letter to Harvard President Alan Garber on Friday, telling him the administration planned to do a thorough review of all patents held by the university.

“We believe that Harvard has failed to live up to its obligations to the American taxpayer and is in breach of the statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements tied to Harvard’s federally funded research programs and intellectual property arising therefrom, including patents,” the letter says.

Mad King Donald has already frozen billions of dollars in Harvard’s federal research money and cut the university off from future grants.

Let's play a fun game: imagine that presidents Obama or Biden had threatened to seize the assets of a conservative college or university. How many fractions of a second would it take for republicans to scream bloody murder on Fox "News" and repeatedly call those actions illegal, anti-American, and totalitarianism?

And they’d be absolutely right.

But neither Obama nor Biden came remotely close to doing so.

It’s just one small piece of the overall picture that is quickly emerging. And it’s not as if anyone can claim that they weren’t warned.

We’re at the point that folks need to close their eyes and put their hands over their ears in order to claim that Trump is not a dictator.

Dont worry, you as a citizenry have a vast majority of cohesive people - of goof culture, of common heritage, of deep appreciation of American history and their civic privileges and responsiblities. They will beat this shit back hard.

It won't be a 51A% win by dems.

It'll be a huge resounding landslide that tells the world - no totalitarianism will be allowed.

:)

I'm assuming a lawsuit will stop this in its tracks.

Unless the patent law is changed (by Congress, I assume), he can't do that. A lawsuit would enjoin the action, and I can't imagine the administration prevailing in court.

Yeah...to quote a Klingon: Kirk may be a swaggering, overbearing, tin-plated dictator with delusions of godhood...

Replace "Kirk" with "Trump", and you got it.
