It works better than the original "Battlestar Galactica" expletive "frack!" The past tense "fracked" has gained another meaning, over the last 48 years.
I quite liked the inventiveness of BSG, from using made up swear words, use of obscure/obsolete English words, like "victuals" for food and drink and "sealed" for marriage*. Then there was the decimal time system of microns, centons, sectons.
