...you're frelled.

Goldman Sachs' blunt warning to laid-off tech workers: It will take time and earnings loss to find a new job

"Workers displaced from technology-disrupted occupations face more difficult short-run transitions back into employment," Goldman Sachs strategist Pierfrancesco Mei wrote in a new note on Monday. "They take approximately one month longer to find a new job and suffer real earnings losses of more than 3% upon reemployment, compared with negligible losses for workers displaced from more stable occupations."

...but the regime still expects them to pay back their student loans, with interest, even if they are picking lettuce.

Had to look up 'frelled'. No, not another Stevism, but a Farscape reference!

From the urban dictionary:

"Originated from the Sci-Fi series "Farscape" as an failure in translation of the word fcuk from alien species' languages to English via translator microbes.

It works better than the original "Battlestar Galactica" expletive "frack!" The past tense "fracked" has gained another meaning, over the last 48 years.

I quite liked the inventiveness of BSG, from using made up swear words, use of obscure/obsolete English words, like "victuals" for food and drink and "sealed" for marriage*. Then there was the decimal time system of microns, centons, sectons.

Steve

* "sealed" is used by LDS members as a term for marriage. Series creator Glen Larson was an active LDS member.
