Iraq announces full withdrawal of US forces from its federal territory

Iraq’s government on Sunday said US forces had completed a “full withdrawal” from military facilities within the country’s federal territory, which excludes the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region where US troops remain.

Iraq’s defense ministry said the final contingent of US advisers had departed from Al-Asad Air Base in Anbar province in western Iraq, which hosted US troops for more than two decades.

The US military has been drawing down for several years after the Iraqi government called for it do so in 2023

Our guys were really vulnerable in Iraqi government areas. Now that they are behind Kurdish defensive lines, The Perfect Manly Man, Trump, can now invent a reason to take southern Iraqi crude off the market, along with Iranian.

Wow so you meant it's actually possible to withdraw American armed forces from a foreign country in an orderly deliberate manner without total chaos and terrorist bombs blowing up American troops and people trying to climb on the outside of the departing airplanes and falling off?

I don't get it.

Biden told us that when he withdrew American forces from Afghanistan, he did it as good as it possibly could be done, and if he didn't, it was Trump's fault.

Makes no sense, does it.

That's the Left, that's Democrats, that's Biden, that's Harris, that's all of them, that's all the Dem-supporting leftists on this board.

In a nutshell.

The whole lot of them are full of shyte liars and delusional b.s.ers who are disconnected from reality and think that anyone else believes their lies.

That sounds like the folks trying to get out of 'Nam in 75. I remember Jerry trying to get a lot of orphans out. Sent a C-5 to pick them up in Saigon. Shortly after takeoff, iirc, it was the rear cargo door that failed. The plane crashed. Most of the orphans were killed. I think Jerry was a fundamentally decent person, but his administration was snake bit.

It isn't as prominent in the Ford Museum since the remodel, but the stairway to the helo pad on the roof of the Saigon embassy is in the Museum now.

Yes Afghanistan withdrawal by Biden was VERY reminiscent of the U.S. departure from the Embassy Roof in Vietnam under Ford.

For those of us who remember that.

And Trump lit the fuse of the bomb that exploded in Biden’s face- and the faces of the eleven service personnel who died during the withdrawal.

Nope the buck stops with Biden.

The only bomb that blew up was the one that killed 13 U.S. military under Biden's watch.

If you want people to take you seriously, start nominating serious candidates.

By the way, there's a blurb in the NY Times today saying Josh Shapiro is now claiming that Kamala's campaign asked him if he was an "Israeli agent" while vetting for her V.P. candidate.

So, yeah, the best and most logical Dem candidate for V.P. (and for top of the ticket, frankly) was denied due to the virulent and open anti-Semitism that has taken over the Democrat Party.

Your party is a total shyte show, it has even LOWER public approval numbers than Trump himself! Which is difficult to believe, but the reality.

You need to get a grip and you and your candidates need to take responsibility for their fuck ups.

And it was Trump who brought the Taliban to the White House, and “negotiated” the peace “deal” that set the withdrawal date and ordered the release from prison of the very guy who exploded that bomb

So fuck you very much for your attention to this detail!

Makes no sense, does it.

Shrub passed his failure to end his Iraq War on to Obama.
Spankee passed his failure to end his Afghan Surrender on to Biden.

Spankee is now passing on his failures to the US population on to the next administration.

The RWNJs *never* learn. They always elect LOSERS.

By the way, there's a blurb in the NY Times today saying Josh Shapiro is now claiming that Kamala's campaign asked him if he was an "Israeli agent" while vetting for her V.P. candidate.

Bribery of US elected officials, of both parties, by AIPAC and other pro-Israel lobbyists is near universal.

from the net sifter:

Hundreds of U.S. Congress members receive donations from pro-Israel groups, with AIPAC's PAC alone endorsing and funding dozens of candidates annually, including party leadership, with millions distributed to candidates in recent cycles, meaning a significant portion of the House (435 members) and Senate (100 members) see such contributions, often topping $1M for leading recipients like Hakeem Jeffries, Josh Gottheimer, and others.
Key Figures & Trends:

AIPAC's Reach: AIPAC's PAC endorses hundreds of candidates each cycle and supports 100% of Democratic and Republican leadership, funneling millions to candidates, notes AIPAC's website.

High-Volume Recipients (2023-2024): Top House recipients included Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), and Ritchie Torres (D-NY), with over $1 million each from pro-Israel sources, according to OpenSecrets.

Senate Figures (Historical): Senators like Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Bob Menendez (I-NJ), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) have also received substantial funding from these groups, shows OpenSecrets.

From British media, because the US media is pressured by the lobby.

Revealed: Congress backers of Gaza war received most from pro-Israel donors

Congress members who were more supportive of Israel at the start of the Gaza war received over $100,000 more on average from pro-Israel donors during their last election than those who most supported Palestine, a Guardian analysis of campaign data shows.

About 82% of Congress members were more supportive of Israel, and just 9% more supportive of Palestine during this period. The remainder had “mixed” views. Legislators categorized as supportive of Israel received about $125,000 on average during their last election, while those supportive of Palestine on average took about $18,000.

The former president Barack Obama, in his 2020 memoir, detailed the threat Aipac presents to Israel’s critics, who risked “being tagged as ‘anti-Israel’ (and possibly anti-Semitic) and confronted with a well-funded opponent in the next election”, he wrote.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/10/co...

Yes, most US elected officials in the Federal government are paid agents of Israel.
