Merrick Garland today in announcing the special counsel status of David Weiss in the Hunter Biden probe.
Said by Garland: "I am committed to making as much of his report public as possible, consistent with legal requirements and departmental policy."
Unsaid: Department policy is to delay and withhold as much negative information about any Biden for as long as possible.
Rhetorical Question: This has been a long time coming Mr Garland. David Weiss has been conducting the investigation for some time time now, so why today to make this announcement? Is it to avoid facing up to the boiling furor over the whistleblower accusation and conflicting statements by the DOJ whether Weiss had been handcuffed in the investigation? Inquiring minds.....

Umm, what? This is the worst possible outcome for president Biden: an unresolved issue that hangs over the campaign forever. If Garland or Weiss were doing anything to favor the president, it would have been, to rephrase Henry II, to rid him of this meddlesome attorney general.

Umm, because Weiss asked to be made special counsel on Tuesday?
And c'mon, republicans don't need reasons to blow smoke or spout lies, it's in their DNA.

Typical. Repubs have been pushing for special counsel, Garland has said Weiss has not asked, so the innuendos go that Weiss has asked and been denied. Now, Weiss asked. Garland appointed him SC. You got what you asked for. And Weiss asking now and being appointed SC shows he didn't ask in the past. So you question that with why now and simultaneously questioning Weiss's competency. But Weiss is your boy, Trump's boy - so ask him, cause you got what you wanted. :)
