All in all, Americans are really starting to hate the incompetent, corrupt asshole.

I had an argument with a friend yesterday. He takes the sophomoric view that 'all politicians are equally bad'. And he thinks people aren't being fair to Trump and that the mainstream media is too hard on him. Our argument convinced me that he is not paying close attention to politics and is blind to Trump's multitudinous failings. So, he is probably like a lot of people who are not really MAGA/Trumpers, but are just NOT PAYING ATTENTION, or seeing the danger to our democracy.

OTOH, clearly there are quite a few 'citizens' who seem to be happy with the prospect of living under an autocratic regime. Lost souls.
