Now that there are 2 Republicans leading in the polls for CA governor, the democrats want to change the rules so a democrat gets in the race.
For years we heard that Top 2 was the best for Muh Democracy especially when 2 democrats are on the ticket, but not so much when it's 2 Republicans.
LOL.

Now that there are 2 Republicans leading in the polls for CA governor,
I don’t know where you’re getting your info, but that’s not true now.
Yes, there were two MAGAs at the top of the polls a couple of weeks ago, but the most recent polls (after Swalwell dropped out) have Dems at 1 and 3, with a Republican in between. They’re probably a statistical tie, then there a meaningful gap to the next two, one D and one R.
With those actual facts on the table, I have to ask how those Epstein files are coming along. Certainly, they should be ready to release any minute now, as required by the law Trump signed personally.

https://www.justice.gov/epsteinHere's a whole page on it for you. You can download whatever you like! Entering the name "Bill Clinton" yields lots of results.
I'm not sure why so many of you are fixated on the Epstein files, btw.

Two things about that:
1. You're a liar.
2. You're a moron.

CA is home to many "failed experiments", but also to many very successful policies. You gotta take the bad with the good.
In this case, we will almost certainly see a "D" on the ticket. The future of "top 2" is a big don't care to me. There were over 60 candidates on the primary ballot this time, and that was insane.

All you need to get on the ballot is $5000 OR 6000 signatures. I bet if they required both there would be less than half as many candidates.

By the way, let's note that the ballot initiative was dropped by a democrat strategist
And the project to get the initiative on the ballot was funded by Reform California, a Republican activist group

Which shows that just about everyone hates the Top 2 process. Funny, that.
