1. Systematic Interrogation and Torture
Gestapo agents were notorious for using "intensified interrogation" (Verschärfte Vernehmung) to extract confessions. In dedicated torture centers, such as their Berlin headquarters or the Hôtel Terminus in Lyon, methods included:
