We waved our flags, and heard words on FOX like "resolve" and "convictions!' and "freedom doesn't come free".....and we supported the Iraq war. The War Machine, and even Israel's mules known as NeoCons all benefitted.
Yet today, we're touting RFK's words about the War Machine.
I wonder......if Biden wasn't President. And if it was Trump or Haley or DeSantis or Kemp or Youngkin........would we be loudly complaining and opposing the War Machine?

When Obama or Biden is President, and Israel opens a can of whoop ass on Palestine, nary a peep. If Bush or Trump are President, all sorts of rancher against the "IDF".
Now under Biden..... "We Stand with Ukraine!" as the costly bombs go off and defense companies bank more cash.
Same thing.....all of a sudden, why oppose what RFK is saying, when much of it parrots what YOU (somewhat rightfully) have said in the past?
Uh oh, now this requires critical thought. Not FOX vs MSNBC and Whole Foods vs Cracker Barrel tribalism.

The GOP (AKA The Trump Cult) has become the party that hates the United States military because it's an extension of the United States government and Trump has encouraged republicans to hate the United States government, American institutions, and an American democracy that seeks to hold him accountable for his criminal activities. About 70% of republicans believe the 2020 election was stolen (or "stollen," as Trump likes to write) despite no evidence to support the claim and a sh!t ton of evidence disproving their belief.
A healthy, functioning democracy requires a citizenry that understands and abides by the precepts of good faith and decency but the GOP has chosen to abandon these concepts in favor of a man who preaches the gospel of "I am your retribution" (if it will incite the cult and keep him out of prison).
For according to testament, only a twice impeached rapist facing 91 felonies in four different jurisdictions -- including indictments for conspiracy to defraud the United States and violating the Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act in conspiracies to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, retaining national defense information and conspiring to alter, destroy, or hide the information from the government -- can save the GOP and the United States of America.

This subject is nuanced. The Russians invaded Ukraine with their army of drunken rapist war criminals. While the Ukraine ranks as one of the most corrupt in the world and is clearly a Biden Crime family business partner, realpolitik demands we deal with the world the way it is, not the way we wish it would be.
I say let them stack as many Russian orcs as high as they can. However, we can't bankrupt ourselves -or- deplete our war stocks to do it. Russia is a paper tiger: they can't project any real power even over their own border. The best they can do is stir up trouble. This is yet another European matter that needs France and Germany to spend far more than they're willing to. Those two have always had the philosophy of defending Western Europe right down to the last American, Pole and now Ukrainian.
We're running a $2 trillion deficit right now. Where is that money going? That's the real question that's not being asked.
