" Dimon said: "Todd Combs is one of the greatest investors and leaders I’ve known, having successfully managed investments alongside the most respected and successful long-term investor of our time, Warren Buffett. Having served nine years on our Board, he truly understands all aspects of our company, and he supports the role we play helping make the world better and safer for all its citizens." Dimon added: "I deeply value Todd’s experience, character and judgment, and we are honored he will be joining our team in this role."

Sounds like a bromance. What is interesting is that Todd, after being on the JPM BOD for 9 years, has resigned from their board.

Todd was employed as a portfolio manager for BRK supposedly responsible for as much as $15 billion. I think most would agree that such a position is a full time job....maybe even 50-60 hours per week. Yet, he was appointed as the CEO of GEICO which is one of the largest automobile insurance companies in the world. That's another full time job and I won't even guess as to what the time commitment would be...there was a published interview with the new Pilot CEO and his schedule was off the charts busy.

We'll probably never know but my guess is that Greg informed him that he could continue being the CEO at GEICO but he would no longer be a portfolio manager....I'm quite sure that Greg has access to Todd's investment returns.
