12 kids went to the Chiefs Super Bowl parade — and are now in hospitals where doctors are trying to save their lives from gunshot wounds.

Meanwhile in DC, the Republican-led House is starting yet another vacation.

There were 800 "good guys with guns" at the parade and 20 people still ended up getting shot. (So much for that stupid argument.)

And then there's this...

The suspected shooters were kids themselves.

Two teenagers have been charged over a shooting at a Super Bowl victory parade in Kansas City that left one person dead and 22 others injured.

The two suspects, both aged under 18, are being held on gun and resisting arrest charges, a court statement said.

I did jury service for a murder trial a couple years ago. A 15-year-old shot a 16-year-old, killing him. Gang-related, as I expect the KC shooting was. Two victims in my case, I thought. One dead, one in prison for 25 years or more.

In both cases it was illegal for the shooters to be carrying guns. They got them somehow.
