...by putting Trump's documents into a bunch of CLASSIFIED TOP DOUBLE SECRET (or whatever) folders that they themselves brought. These photos were then splashed all over the media.

Oh, and it turns out that there's an interesting reason why the docs were even there in the first place. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Julie Kelly:

The DOJ's Doctored Crime Scene Photo of Mar-a-Lago Raid
New disclosures in Special Counsel Jack Smith's espionage case against Donald Trump reveal the FBI tampered with evidence to create the infamous photo--and DOJ has lied about it for nearly two years.

Biden's Deep State DOJ lying? Say it isn't so!!!

A few weeks after the armed FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, the Department of Justice released a stunning photograph depicting alleged contraband seized from Donald Trump’s Palm Beach estate that day; the image showed colored sheets representing scary classification levels attached to files purportedly discovered in Trump’s private office.

Included as a government exhibit to oppose Trump’s lawsuit requesting a special master to vet the 13,000 items taken from his residence, the crime scene pic immediately went viral—just as Attorney General Merrick Garland, who authorized the unprecedented raid, intended.

Because the Deep State knows that the best way to try a political figure is in the court of public opinion.

But before the official cover sheets were used as placeholder, agents apparently used them as props. FBI agents took it upon themselves to paperclip the sheets to documents—something evident given the uniform nature of how each cover sheet is clipped to each file in the photo—laid them on the floor, and snapped a picture for political posterity.

That raises many troubling questions, to say the least, about the FBI’s handling of the alleged incriminating documents.

Read on. That case was always bogus, and is more or less doomed, but it's still interesting to read how far the FBI will go.

I think a 16 year old would understand you don't want to release a picture of Classified documents.

Dope1: Read on. That case was always bogus, and is more or less doomed, but it's still interesting to read how far the FBI will go.

Despite what Julie Kelly argues, the New York Times is right: The New York Times insisted the photo was consistent with how the FBI handles criminal investigations. “[It] is standard practice for the F.B.I. to take evidentiary pictures of materials recovered in a search to ensure that items are properly cataloged and accounted for. Files or documents are not tossed around randomly, even though they might appear that way; they are usually splayed out so they can be separately identified by their markings,” reporters Glenn Thrush and Adam Goldman wrote on August 31, 2022.

And you do realize that the Robert Hur report did exactly the same thing with the Biden documents case, right? Except they had considerably fewer boxes and documents to sort through with Biden. But they still gave them labels and sorted them for photographing. Just like with Trump.

The FBI was not about to photograph documents classified at the highest levels for public consumption. So, as they said, they used placeholders. And they were pretty clear about it at the time. Trump's defense team even pointed it out back on August 31, 2022: "Even yesterday, the Government’s Response gratuitously included a photograph of allegedly classified materials, pulled from a container and spread across the floor for dramatic effect."

No matter now. As you wrote elsewhere, Cannon pushed this trial off to rather distant future date: never.

Despite what Julie Kelly argues, the New York Times is right:

No, they're not right.
The FBI isn't supposed to stage evidence at a "crime scene". But that's what they did here.

And you do realize that the Robert Hur report did exactly the same thing with the Biden documents case, right?

They didn't stage that. Your memory isn't helping you here.

The FBI was not about to photograph documents classified at the highest levels for public consumption.

Bwahahahahahahaha! They're the ones that leaked evidence in a "criminal" case to the press.

Just so you understand: every time you write or say "Deep State," a socialist is born.

Deep Staters are essentially socialists. The power of the state as exercised by its bureaucracy is not to be challenged. This is why socialists are fascists and vice versa.

"I think a 16 year old would understand you don't want to release a picture of Classified documents."

Never underestimate the willingness of a Cultist to play dumb if needed.

It is no different than the fact that the FBI did the exact same thing when taking documents in the Biden and Pence situations. Anyone smarter than a 5th grader would realize that if Trump was treated the exact same way as Biden and Pence, it is pretty standard operating procedure and isn't part of some grand conspiracy to get him.

The Cultists want it to be a grand conspiracy though so they play dumb to any fact that would blow that up.

I never understood the allure of playing dumb to evidence that counters my beliefs.
