I understand the frustration, but I would have omitted the last line.
However, I do not take Republicans seriously now on immigration. They nuked a bipartisan bill without even a debate. Before most people knew what was in it. As Mike lamented, not even opening it for debate before anyone knew what was in it was irresponsible. The Senate bipartisan agreement, had it moved forward, is almost certainly not the final form it would have taken. The House was supposed to debate, propose some changes, and then I believe it goes back to the Senate for reconciliation. And then it still might have not passed. But none of that happened.
Therefore, at least the Republicans in power are not serious people when it comes to immigration, and I will henceforth ignore all of their howls because they're just making noise.
